Merry Christmas! And another year has rushed past us like the strong gust of the winds. Fleeting, memorable, fabulous, difficult. Here is to our new year. May God bless our Nation, our Families, our Communities with strength, courage, joy we cannot fathom and the knowledge that He is with us. May God Bless you all.

Auburn Cruise Night
Went to Auburn Cruise Night tonight. Great cars - so shiny - and lots of interesting people. My daughter and several of her 8th grade classmates went to sell water bottles to raise money for their D.C. trip next year. Of course I couldn't resist the shiny objects:)

So You Don't Want to Go Pro - Top Ten Photography Tips - One By One - Time for Tip #2
Well, let's move on shall we!
Tip # 2: Tilt your camera - just a little.
So it's just that simple. No matter which way you take a photo, vertical or horizontal, tilt your camera to the right or left, just a little. The difference it makes is really quite astounding. It will take an ordinary photo and make it extraordinary!
Now you take a look. The images are simple - but take a leap from simple to fab with a small tilt of the camera!
Which would you prefer on your wall? So tilt a little!

So You Don't Want to Go Pro - Top Ten Photography Tips - One By One
Okay, so your passion does not reside in the profession of photography, but you sure do love your camera - and your subjects. Well, here you go!
Each pro has their list of top ten and here is mine! I'll walk you through one by one. Are you ready? Today's tip is:
Move your subject away from the center of the picture! It's really that simple. Now there is the Rule of Thirds that you can apply to your image. What that means is this - if you put a tic tac toe board on your view finder (#) you will aim to place your subjects where the lines intersect - avoid the center at all cost. You can also place your subject on either of the vertical or horizontal lines. You will see how these lines divide the screen into thirds.
Well, that's all well and good, but I also follow the rule of break the rule. So take your subject and cut it off and put it fully in a corner or on one side. You don't have to have your whole subject in the picture.
